Trish Contreras is an activist, organizer, and promotes civic engagement through grassroots organizing, including encouraging activists to build collective power in their communities to improve or change the status quo. Dedicated to strengthening the Texas Democratic Party through coalition building and helping to elect new progressive leaders while uniting Texans in holding their current elected officials accountable.

President of Indivisible Austin, a local grassroots organization whose mission is to celebrate, protect, and expand human rights to fight for justice for everyone. Trish is also a coalition member of the Texas Grassroots Alliance, a coalition of over 300 organizations dedicated to building an all-encompassing political machine to elect progressive leaders and bringing the voice of the people to the halls of government. In 2022, Trish began organizing with the Texas Progressive Caucus and helped plan its first caucus meeting at the Texas Democratic Party Convention. That same year, she became an official Advisory Board member.
